Homepage
This is just a simple list of activity. Each color corresponds to the color of it's associated blog. This is the only place where we unify the blogs as one. In general the blogs in design and content reflect the neighborhood they are part of.

New Media Initiatives Blog
We set up an aggressive color scheme with a gray background here. It looks like the intense colors popularized by Wired magazin in the 90's mixed with the light gray that was the default background on Netscape.

You can see the structure that's going to get repeated on most of the Walker Blogs. A list of chronological entries on the left. A title that links back to the front page on top with a link back to the Walker Blogs page under it. Then there is a list of categories on the right followed by some related links and a list of our archives.

We chose to seperate the comment area definitively from the post. The general idea was to give more prominence to the post and less to the comments.

Education and Community Programs Blog
This sets a subdued tone and mimics the color pallete of the learn site.

Programming Departments
Film Video Blog
Performing Arts Blog
Visual Arts Blog
These blogs follow the designs of their neighborhoods their apperance is differentiated by color and pattern. The emphasis is on text and image aimed at a scholarly audience. (sources:1,2,3)

Off Center
We wanted this blog to have more pop appeal than the others. It was designed with a more fun logo and color scheme.
